How long does it take to process my file? Am I missing anything?

After all docs have been received/ accepted and the student's to do list is updated then it takes 2-3 weeks to be awarded, depending on whether a FAFSA correction must be sent to the Central FAFSA Processor by the college. Files are reviewed in the order in which all requested documents are received. Your file cannot be reviewed until it is complete.

If no corrections are necessary, you have no holds on your NOVA account, and you are not on financial aid suspension, you should see an award in 2 weeks.  If FAFSA corrections are required, the school will be able to make most corrections for you.  Your award will likely be delayed for at least an additional week while that correction is processed.

Once your file review is complete, you will be awarded within 24 hours.
