What is the KSU Cisco VPN and do I need it to access library research database resources?

What is the KSU Cisco VPN?

The Virtual Private Network (VPN) service allows you to create a secure connection between your computer and the Kent State University network.

The KSU Cisco VPN is only required when attempting to access resources that are not normally available from off-campus such as library research databases.

For a listing of campus resources that require the KSU-VPN to be connected, please click here.

If you are having issues accessing resources after logging into the VPN successfully please contact the reference desk

NOTE: Users conducting university business or working with sensitive institutional data must follow computer security requirements prescribed by Information Services at all times.
